HI THERE!
MY NAME IS LOUISE,
I AM SWEDISH/NORWEGIAN LIVING IN KARLSTAD, SWEDEN, WITH MY AUSTRALIAN HUSBAND AND OUR TWO YOUNG DAUGHTERS.

I work as a women’s health physiotherapist, doula, and yoga teacher. I have a bachelor in Physiotherapy from the University of Copenhagen and I’ve always had a great interest for the women’s health field. It therefore felt natural to proceed to specialize and become a pelvic health physical therapist. In my work as a women’s health physiotherapist I help and support women regarding physical concerns they may have in the pelvic - and vaginal area. If you want to know more about my work and how I can support, go to offerings and read more about some of the common issues I can help you with.

Alongside my studies to become a physiotherapist  I became a birth doula. I quickly realized that I also wanted to be able to support women through the entire journey, from early pregnancy, birth, postpartum and onwards. Therefore I went through a more comprehensive doula training which ran over a years’ time. In this course we covered pregnancy, birth preparation, birth support, postpartum care and so much more. After having graduated from this course, I felt more than equipped to support women and couples through this very special journey.

I have been a yoga teacher for over 10 years and it has been more than just a physical practice and job to me. It has been one of my go-to self care practices for both mental, emotional and physical balance. As I devoloped into the women’s health and doula field, I naturally wanted to become a prenatal and postnatal yoga teacher. This has been a way to guide and support pregnant women in preparation for birth, both physically and mentally, as well as helping new mothers navigate after birth with their little one.

I am truly passionate about supporting women through all their life phases and whatever challenges they may encounter. This passion has been a part of me long before having my own children, but it definately became even stronger after the birth of my first daughter.

Going through pregnancy, birth and the time following, is truly a transformational journey on so many levels. Feeling informed and knowing your options in preparation for birth can make all the difference to your experience, both you as the birthing mother, your partner and the little baby joining you earth side.
Therefore having the right support is very important, I believe I can give you the support that you deserve.
